Μετά τον θάνατο του Αρχιεπισκόπου Σωφρονίου Bishara, ανάλαβαν την Προεδρία της Ιεραρχίας της Εκκλησίας της Διασποράς, ο Μητροπολίτης Χριστόφορος Κοντογιώργης, ο Αρχιεπίσκοπος Αρσένιος Σάλτας, ο Μητροπολίτης Πέτρος–Ανδρέας Zurawetzky και εν συνεχεία ο Αρχιεπίσκοπος Ιωακείμ Σουρής.

Ο Αρχιεπίσκοπος Ιωακείμ Σουρής, την 10η Απριλίου του 1982, μετά άλλων έξη Επισκόπων αποτέλεσε την Ελληνική Σύνοδο Διασποράς και Ελλάδος ακολουθούσα το Πάτριο εορτολόγιο, ως και η Ρωσική δικαιοδοσία, εγκαθιδρύοντας στην Ελλάδα Εξαρχία της Εκκλησίας.

Το 1988, τον Αρχιεπίσκοπο Ιωακείμ, διαδέχθηκε ο Μητροπολίτης Δαμασκηνός, εκλεγείς Πρόεδρος της Συνόδου της Ελληνικής Ιεραρχίας Διασποράς –Ελλάδος, Πατρίου.

Τον Αρχιεπίσκοπο Δαμασκηνό, διαδέχθηκε ο Αρχιεπίσκοπος Τιμόθεος.

Δια αποφάσεως της Αγίας και Ιεράς Συνόδου της Ορθόδοξης Εκκλησίας Διασποράς και Ελλάδος, συστήθηκε και καθιερώθηκε η Ιερά Αρχιεπισκοπή Βραζιλίας και πάσης Λατινικής Αμερικής το 2002, με επικεφαλής τον μετέπειτα Αρχιεπίσκοπο Αθανάσιο (2003), ο οποίος δημιούργησε όλες τις ουσιαστικές και νομικές προϋποθέσεις για την σύσταση της στην Βραζιλία και Λατινική Αμερική

Τον Δεκέμβριο του 2007, τον Αρχιεπίσκοπο Τιμόθεο, διαδέχθηκε ο Αρχιεπίσκοπος Βραζιλίας, Λατινικής Αμερικής Αθανάσιος, στην Προεδρία της Ελληνικής Ορθοδόξου Συνόδου της Εκκλησίας Διασποράς

Our Diocese of GOX of the Brazil was founded in 2002 by Holy Orthodox Old Calendar   Synod for Diaspora and Hellas of the Bishops of Genuine Orthodox Christians in Athens - Greece.

This they placed, by RESOLUTION SINODAL nº 400/949 in Athens, day 12 of February of 2002, during the Meeting of the Saintly Bishops of the Genuine Orthodox Christians (GOX) of Holy Synod Orthodox Old Calendar for Diaspora and Hellas ( Patrioy) (Smirnis 42 B corner with the Street Michail Voda – CP 104 39 Athens); for Archdiocese Old Calendar Hellenic Orthodox Church of Diaspora (Patrioy) in Athens was adopted the resolution of Constitution of the Diocese (Eparchy) of Ceara in Brazil with seat in Saint Monastery John Crisostomous to the Street 15, Number 15, Industrial Conjunt - Maracanau - Ceara - Brazil. Zip code 61925330, having like Bishop Diocesan (Eparch), the Abbot Kyrillos.

Was founded in this day (12 of February of 2002) THE OUR EPARCHY OF THE GENUINE ORTHODOX  CHURCH OF DIASPORA  AND GREECE OF G.O.X. OF CEARA AND ALL BRAZIL of the HOLY ORTHODOX OLD CALENDAR SYNOD  OF G.O.X. FOR DIASPORA OF GREECE for Orthodox Apostolic Catholic Church of the Diaspora and Hellas in Brazil - Old Calendar (Patrioy)

THE COUNCIL OF JUSTICE ECCLESIASTICAL ARBITRAL OF BRAZIL - CJAEB is established by the SEPARATION of the Bishop Kyrillos of the Holy Synod AUOCA-USA by the dismissal of the Archbishopric of Brazil according to PROTOCOL Nº 1208 of the Holy Synod in 07 of November of 2008.

This put: in his first Legal Act of the Council of Justice Arbitral Eclesiástico of Brazil, Archbishop Kyrillos with the maintained Nomination of Archbishop Eparch Kyrillos in Extraordinary general meeting, Powders Archeepiscopal Decree of 08 of November of the 2008 year resolves to alter the Archbishopric of the Ceará and All Brazil with immediate sanction for:

BISHOPRIC OF CEARA AND ALL BRAZIL

AND TO MAINTAIN THE ARCHPRIESTED

Because, We, longing doing the will of the Holy Orthodox Old Calendar Synod  for Diáspora of Greece - The  Genuine Orthodox Christians (GOX) of Brazil declare when the Bishopric of the Ceará and All Brazil was restored, on the territory that there will form the Archpriested of Fortaleza and of Maracanaú (new dioceses in formation).

In the territory of the new dioceses in formation - Archpriesteds are the Parishes: They are Lázaro, Saint Matheus, Saint Basilica Nicolau, Holy Irene, Theological Seminary, School of Young, Childlike Education and Saint Adults Kyrillos and the communities: of Saint Fanúrio (in formation), Saint Pedro (in formation). Therefore, the Headquarters of the Archbishopric of Ceara and Northeast of Brazil, powders-re-establishment, maintained the formation of the Archpriesteds, stayed elevated the Episcopal Church of Brazil of the Cathedral of the Archbishopric of Ceara and Northeast of Brazil remaining in the even I address of the Monastery of Saint João Crisóstomo, Saint Abbey Thiago sito to the street 15, nº 15. The Archpriests of Fortaleza and Maracanaú will be suffraganes of the Mr. Archbishop of Ceara and will have his headquarters and residence in the city called "FORTALEZA", installed to mitra of the teaching archpriestal in the Parochial Church of the same city, to which is elevated to the dignity of Private Church.

It treats the Archpriesteds of Fortaleza and of Maracanaú, soon that look him opportune, in choose the best youths, to the which will send for the Seminary of Theology, in order to that be educated in philosophy and theology, in the Institute of Theology and Orthodox Philosophy – Bigger Seminary. Observe itself, however, the in force private prescriptions in Brazil, as regards the Biggest Seminary.

The table archpriestal will maintain to be of the performances of the Mitre, be with the pecuniary aid or in kinds, offered spontaneously by the faithful, be still with the property, that, made the division of the things and property of the of Fortaleza table and Maracanauense, will touch equitably to these archpriesteds, according to the determinations of the Code of the Canons of the Oriental Churches - CCOC.

The Mitres of Fortaleza and Maracanaú send as soon as possible to the Cathedral of the Archbishopric, all of the documents and minutes that the new Headquarters concern Mitreis, to his clergymen, faithful and property storms.

We determine and we order even if the Apostolic Letter and this Our Decree of Execution be well-read publicly faced with the Mitred Archpriest Crisóstomo of Maracanaú and of the Mitred Archpriests Sabbas of Fortaleza, or priests by them delegates, in presence of the clergy and of the people, in the future Private Church of the Archpriesteds of Fortaleza and Maracanaú, or somewhere else more convenient of the same cities; to the even This Our Decree will enter in full vigor. It take care finally the Archpriests, of his Archpriesteds will send us two trustworthy copy of the minutes of the act carried out.

Observe itself, however, the things that by right should be observed, despite any determinations in contrary.
